I was actually booked at another kempinski that had plumbing probs and was switched here. VERY happy. They gave us a free dinner for our trouble, and it was one of the best meals we had in BA. Other review said you needed taxis, but if you're under 65 you're fine walking. I don't have much money, so I need to save when I can and public transportation is great for seeing a city. Ast front desk about buses. The subway is easy to use and get to, about half a mile, but goes to all the sights, and SOOO cheap. Staff was very helpful. Only prob, was our door wouldn't open/lock, staff helpful, they had to let us in our room every time. Their croissants were excellent. Easy to get to recoletta, short walk. Lots of nice parks nearby. I'm a 28 yr old female, felt safe walking around. Some mom and pop restaurants around, a few bakeries for GREAT bakery all day. Perfect location. If you want a taxi, staff will get for you. Take subway to plaza de mayo or San Telmo market on weekends. Subway is the best. It goes RIGHT TO all the main tourist sights. The bathroom was clean, but had a BIG, HIGH, step, so it would be hard to get into if you have any mobility problems. I thought it was a good value compared to big name US brand hotels. Get change if you take the bus anywhere, they only accept coins. McDonalds will always give you coins as change. Most of Buenos Aires won't give coins (monadas) as change, as the city is short on change. Hard Rock Cafe was only a few block away, too. Walking distance definitely.
